On this one-week course, you’ll discover the administration skills needed to conduct a successful admission for veterinary care.
You’ll walk through each step of the process, including veterinary referrals, to discover what happens when a patient arrives and how to successfully communicate with the client. With this knowledge, you’ll ensure expectations are met and the best course of treatment is advised.
You’ll delve into the triage system, including the telephone triage, to understand how this could vary for different animals.
With this knowledge, you’ll have the skills to use triage to help you determine the next steps for patient care.
Delving further into the body system triage, you’ll learn which observations should be prioritised.
You’ll learn how to conduct crucial checks such as cardiovascular, neurological, and breathing checks during an emergency to understand what to look for when determining treatment.
Finally, you’ll uncover what happens post-triage to ensure you have the understanding and confidence to best support the veterinarian.
Throughout the course, you’ll be guided by the specialists at the Learning Lounge. With their expertise, you’ll finish the course with the knowledge and administration skills to successfully admit a patient into veterinary care.

If you are found in violation of the Terms and Conditions or Honor Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:
Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;
Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;
Being unenrolled from a course, learning program or degree program; or
Termination of your use of the App and/or Site.
Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers.
No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.
Honor code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica, the Partners, or Members. You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this honor code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
